If you book with the Imaginative Traveller then we can promise that you will receive a 5% discount for booking with us 6 months in advance of a departure date and if you are a past client of ours then you would receive an additional 5% off the tour price. So you could qualify for a total of 10% discount.

I was asking if we get actual stuff.
On a side note, Trafalgar and Intrepid also offer those promotions and Intrepid still has their last minute deals.

While we don't give out freebies at the start of our tours, we are nevertheless regularly running special offers and promotions throughout the year. For example at some of the travel shows we attend we were giving away free Rough Guides to various destinations, and copies of the "Long Way Down" book.
We also gave away copies of the Long way down to the first 50 people who answered our questionnaire. The best place to hear about our special offers and freebies is by signing up to E-tracks our online e-newsletter - which can be easily done from the homepage:

There is nothing for free! I'd rather have competitive prices than a gimmick such as a grocery bag!

I agree. It's a psychological game, for companies to find ways to encourage us to part with our money. "Free" stuff is one of the tools.
Besides, it's not really that important to me. The reason I pushed it was because I wasn't happy with Nate's answer. I found it far too evasive and an attempt to distract me from what I really wanted to know. It seemed shady. If I had wanted to know about deals, I would have asked about deals. Instead, I asked about 'free' stuff. Why couldn't he just answer my question?

I am truly sorry that you thought my original response was being evasive.
However as we don't give out free things such as a grocery bag at the start of tours i was instead trying to focus on what we did offer to passengers hoping to book with us.

I think the company should go back to providing free airport transfers on arrival.
It was one thing that used to differentiate you from the competition. However since you got bought out I guess the new owners want to squeeze as much out of the customers as they can.

When I booked they said I would be met at the airport...my documents say I will be met at the airport.
So you're saying that won't happen and I'll have to find my own way to the hotel at 1:30 in the morning?

Many of our tours do still include an arrival transfer, so if your documents say that you have one booked then please don't worry.
If you would like me to check your booking for you please email me your full name on kelly@imtrav.net, so that I can double check you have a transfer booked.
Free transfers have been removed from some tours (Adventurer style) however we still include them for most Traveller style and all Connoisseur style and Egypt tours.

Thanks for passing my complaint along Kelly. I also did so on the written feedback form at the end of the tour.
Being the cynic, I don't expect any change. Once a company institutes a cash grab they usually don't change it.
