Can you please advise when is the best time of year to visit the Galapagos..I was thinking of January, what will the weather be like then?

Thanks for your post - there are two main seasons in the Galapagos.
The warm season:
This is from December - May and is the warmest time of year and there is slightly more rainfall. The sea is at its warmest and is usually calmer. Although there is more rainfall the lower elevations of the islands offer sunshine and blue skies.
The cold season:
This is from June - November the air temperature is lower however it is drier and there is plenty of sunshine.
The best time of year to see the seal pups is October/November.
