I don't imagine there has been much movement on the numbers of this Phillipines tour, since I booked but would happy to hear if there has been in the last couple of weeks.
With flights into and out of Australia at Christmas being so tight and need to be booked this far ahead, it is a pity that people need to pay for airfares before trips are guaranteed. It would be good if some trips around major holiday seasons were guaranteed departures.
Also it would be good if your booking codes changed colour, once the guaranteed minimum for a trip was reached.

We've currently got 5 people booked on the above tour. Our minimum group size is 6 people, however I have had a word with our Operations team and am very happy to confirm that we WILL be able to operate the tour with just 5 people, so you can book your flights with confidence.
However if there is anyone else out there that would like to join the tour, please get in touch! The tour will still be open for new bookings up until a couple of weeks before departure.
With regards to your other comment about the tours cleared to run being highlighted in another colour - this is something we are actually working on. I can't promise this feature at the moment, however it is something we are discussing and would like to have on our website.

Thanks for the reply. I am happy the trip is going ahead and looking forward to it. I had already booked my flights as I was going to go backpacking instead if it was canceled. Still will for ten days after.
The flights out of Australia are so tight at Xmas, that I like to know early if I am going somewhere because of another company canceling at the last minute in the past. That is why I was making the suggestion.

confirmation of trips - hmmm
I really appreciate the comments you have made gnap as I too live in Oz. 7 months ago I booked and paid in full for a tour next month to India. As it was a Pushkar fair tour it was pretty certain to be full. Flights from Oz are tight and to change a flight booking at this stage is virtually impossible. I was guaranteed a single supplement when my agent called the Sydney office (on speaker phone) so I paid in full and booked and paid for flights. The tour is certainly on but 5 weeks before I am due to go I have been told the single supplement is not available and I will need to share - not all the time but so far no-one has told me the same number of nights nor the towns I would share in. ImagTrav on the 3 occasions I contacted them (as opposed to my agent) said they would get back to me but I am still waiting.....I have been offered refunds in Indian ruppees on the nights i share and an alternative tour but am unable to get flights home in time to for work committments organised around the first tour.
Finally ImagTrav admitted they had underbooked but it seems the client bears the consequences not the company. After all these months of exctiment and anticipation I feel very deflated and have cancelled my booking and will travel with another company. Unfortunately of course I cannot get into the Pushkar fair now. My query to ImagTrav is this - when is confrimation really what is says it is?

Thank you for your post. I am really sorry to hear about the problems with your Pushkar Fair tour single supplement.
Please be assured that the situation that came up with single supplements on your trip was most definitely not the norm - it was an exception and is not something that would normally happen. I would like to clarify for anyone reading that when a single supplement is confirmed this means you get a single room on the tour (exceptions are overnight trains, buses, boats, and some types of accommodation which would be stated at the time of booking).
Normally we are able to procure as many single rooms as are needed on any given departure, however the fact that this departure coincided with the Pushkar Fair, combined with an unusually high demand for single rooms, meant that we had difficulty in getting the amount of single rooms that were needed.
To avoid such a situation occuring again we are now not offering single supplements on departures that include the Pushkar Fair or a high season supplement for this particular tour.
We are very sorry that this impacted on your plans in this way, and do understand that it is important for some people to have their own room throughout the tour.
