Hello
I consider to book this tour within the next few days. I would be very grateful if you could answer my questions related to this tour:
1. How many people are already booked on this tour?
2. Concerning accommodation, tour description says "simple hotels sometimes with shared facilities" - how often will there be shared facilities?
3. Could you please tell me the border entry points to Cambodia and Laos for this tour? I guess an e-visa will be fine for entering Cambodia and I can obtain a Lao visa in Bangkok(?).
Thanks in advance for your answer.
Cheers,
Ronny

Re: Heart of Indochina Tour, departing 03-05-2008 -> Urgent advi
Hi Catherine
Thanks for answering my questions.
Do I understand it right, that it is common practice to obtain the Lao visa on route in Cambodia and that the tour leader will assist with this matter?
I live in Switzerland (but have a German passport) and there is no Lao embassy where I can obtain a visa. Therefore I want to make sure, that it is definitely no problem to obtain it en route in Cambodia.
Thanks and best regards,
Ronny

Re: Heart of Indochina Tour, departing 03-05-2008 -> Urgent advi
Hello Catherine
Thanks for your advice concerning the Lao visa. I think I'm going to book the tour tomorrow :-).
One more question: The tour includes a 2 night "village homestay"? What kind of accommodation will we have there? Do we need any special equipment like sleeping bags and mosquito nets?
Looking forwrd to your answer.
Best regards,
Ronny
Re: Heart of Indochina Tour, departing 03-05-2008 -> Urgent advi
Hi Ronny
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. During the homestay you will usually be accommodated in one of the villager's homes and you will be provided with bedding and everything that you may require. You will not, therefore, need to bring a sleeping bag, etc with you. You will be made to feel very welcome and it will provide you with an excellent insight to the general living conditions and way of life of the local people.
Kind regards
Catherine
