I know this question must of been asked a thousand times before but what is the likelihood of JOE trips in August being cancelled? I know this is the hottest time of the year there so I imagine it wouldn't be a popular time of year to go. Unfortunately the only period I could book was the trip leaving on the 10th. I think I am still currently the only person booked at this time and I also am aware that it's 5 and a half months ahead but the main reason I asked about the likelihood of being cancelled is due to having another tour cancelling on me already. I really want to go with ImTrav on this trip so any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
It can be hard to say whether the tour will run as there is still plenty of time for people to book onto this tour and most of our tours tend to get bookings 3-4 months in advance.
Although August is the hottest time of the year there will be other people in the same situation as yourself who can only travel during the summer months and so will have to book on these summer dates.
We have less departures this year so there is a higher concentration of people on each departure date and less of a chance of tours having to be cancelled due to minimum numbers.
We need a minimum of 6 people to be booked on a tour for it to be guaranteed to depart and this is one of our most popular Egypt tours so hopefully we will get those extra bookins.

I'm also interested to know about cancellations. I'm interested in booking the Beyond the Pyramids tour that starts on September 27. If we booked it now we'd want to get our plane tickets ASAP because there are some good deals right now. They are non-refundable tickets however so if the tour gets cancelled we're in trouble.
Do the Beyond the Pyramids tours tend to be cancelled or do they usually get enough people? Do some tours tend to be cancelled more often, or are cancellations more in a certain time of year? Just wondering if there are any trends...

At the moment the Beyond the Pyramids tour has not reached minimum numbers as it has full availability. It would not be a guaranteed departure so I would be wary about booking flights, if you do book flights make sure that they are refunadable/changeable tickets. That's great! I wasn't looking to come from Oz, I am actually looking for a flight from London to Cairo. I have two options for departure one is on the 7th for a flight after 5pm (as that's when I arrive from Australia) or on the 8th in the morning. I also am looking to depart Cairo on the 24th (after breakkie) and fly to Dublin. Is that possible to get a quote with you Kate?
