Re: Indiana Hotel in Cario
Hello Fab,
I think there is some confusion in your information.
The Nile Valley & Red Sea tour starts and ends at the SALMA hotel. This is a Traveller Category tour.
If you have booked accommodation prior to this tour you have the choice of the Indiana or King or Salma. Please check with your agent as to where you are booked IF you have extra accommodation.
When the NRS tour ends you transfer to the Indiana Hotel and begin your Jerusalem Petra & Beyond tour. This is a Adventurer category tour.

Re: Indiana Hotel in Cario
I stayed at the Salma last August for one night -never again! If you like dirty sheets, filthy rooms and cockroaches, death zone bathrooms etc - this is for you!!! If you like clean, nice rooms, swimming pools and edible food - go to the Indiana. We spent 3/4 weeks on/off during August and September and it was lovely.
Re: Indiana Hotel in Cario
Hello Ruthe,
As you see this person asked this question four months ago. While I appreciate this is your own opinion and experience of this hotel I beg to differ.
We use the Salma hotel for our Traveller Class category tours and The Imdiana Hotel for our Budget tours. In the eight years we have worked with the Salma hotel our clients and us have found it to be of a very good standard in comparrison to many others who claim to be a three star hotel.
There is no such thing as a perfect and clean hotel anywhere, but as we use the hotel for four days of every week of every year we do not get complaints about cockroaches or the like.
If you had booked this room with our company and it was of the standard you say, you should have brought this to our attention on the spot and we would have solved it, on the spot.
