Is it mandatory to have insurance for an IT tour? My travel agent offered 8-15 day coverage for $59. What sort of a plan can I get from IT? Thank you!

Re: Insurance

Hello Ann,

If I remember correctly you have to have proof of insurance prior to commencing your tour with IT. I felt that having insurance organised prior to leaving home was the best way to go. I can't comment on IT's costs, as I have no idea of this.

Have a great holiday, wish I could join you!!!

Re: Insurance

Ann

Insurance is mandatory on all Imaginative Traveller trips.
Most people choose to take insurance from their home country because it is then tailored to their own national requirements.
For example, an insurance policy taken out in the Uk would include cover for emergency repatriation to the UK. Presumably insurance taken in the USA includes cover for emergency repatriation to the USA.
