I am planning to visit Egypt next month. I know that the water is not safe to drink. I don’t want to spend my money or my time buying bottled water. A friend of mine suggested me to buy a portable water filter. He talked about an Aquapure Traveller that he is uses in his travels. What do you think about these products? Do you know this one or do you have anything else to suggest me?

I haven't used a water filtration system but having visited Egypt just wanted to let you know that it is extremely easy and very cheap to buy water. It is easy to see which bottles are properly sealed and there is no hassle involved.

I agree that you do not need a water filtration system in Egypt as bottled water is very cheap and easy to come by.

Water in Egypt when i was there was about 25cents (aussie)
for a 1.25 litre bottle, from street vendors- who seemed to be on every corner.
A portable filtration system in my mind would be a waste of money and space.
