we are off to mongolia soon and having difficulty finding books for identifying birds there. Will tour company have some ideas or will tour guide be informative about these on the tour.

Our tour leader won't be a specialist bird guide so although they may know some birds they won't be able to give identifications or lots of details. You also have an interpreter with you who will be a local Mongolian speaker who again may have some knowledge but are not a naturalist guide.

Unfortunately there aren't really any bird publications for Mongolia specifically at the moment.
