Help... I need some advice... am in the final stage of packing for an upcoming Journey Across China tour with ImTrav.... Am SO excited!!! But am wondering whether it is necessary to bring a fleece type jacket at this time of year? Your country dossier recommends it for those "early mornings" (eg Tiger Leaping Gorge area?)... but does this hold true for July and August weather? It seems SO hot now, that I can't imagine needing it, and it DOES take up room in my pack, BUT from your expierience, would it be wise to bring it with me???? As always many thanks for all of your help!!!

Thanks for the post.

I have asked my colleague to look into because it would be handy to know the local micro climate in and around Tiger Leaping gorge.

Yes. Here is the update.

Apparently it can still be a little nippy even on good days so a light fleece will be necessary.
