Just wanting to know the best time of year for the Hunza tour - as far as rainfall/humidity etc goes, and assuming that as trekking involved, don't want to be too hot!

Re: pakistan
Hi Carolyn,
Monsoon in Pakistan falls between June and early September. Although in theory the monsoon doesn't go further north than Chilas (not too far north of Islamabad, and before the really stunning scenery starts) it is best to avoid this time as the heat, even in the Hunza valley, can be oppressive.
I would recommend April/May and September/October (though bear in mind that in late May and early September it can still get fairly hot).
I guess that it goes without saying that the weather in the mountain ranges is pretty unpredictable, so it is always difficult to pinpoint an ideal season - I led this tour in mid-July and we had perfect trekking weather and visibility although the weeks before and after the trip were overcast and cloudy.
Its a fantastic trip - the Karakorum Highway has to be the most beautiful road in the world and the treks allow you to get up in the mountains and some really awesome views. I hope you enjoy it !
