A bit of a thorny one this. We get many questions about sleeping bags and obviously so with the different countries and varying temperatures in the countries we operate.
First consider November and the temp in Egypt
Cairo early Nov is usually 28-30c and late Nov 25c. South Egypt Luxor etc, expect wonderfully warm days of 28c average. And evening temp of around 18-20c. In the Sinai the daytime temps will be great at around 20-24c but the evening will drop to around 10-14- in the mountains (St. Catherine's) and the desert possibly lower.
Manufacturers don't send all their sleeping bags to the same place to be assessed, so on your trip to buy your new sleeping bag you will be faced with many season ratings. And they will be confusing.
The best advice is to buy the best you can afford.
