OK, here goes. I just turned 63 and am very interested in going on your Lost Tribes of Ethiopia trip sometime in 2010. I am in good physical shape. Not one of my friends shares my interest, so I will likely be going alone. I was just wondering if the trip would likely consist of a bunch of 20 somethings and me. Now I have nothing against 20 somethings. (My son is 24). But would they feel strange having an "older" person in their group?
Thanks.

Braids,I'm sure one of the ImTrav agents will respond, but I would say the Trip is a traveller style trip so you should be fine. These tend to attract a slightly older group. I'm going on a traveller style trip next month and age range is mid-30s to early 60s. The 20 somethings tend to book adventurer style trips. What I do is ask ImTrav what the group booked so far is like before I commit and make final payment. They'll tell you the age range of the group, number of other singles, number of male and female travellers etc so you can you be sure you'll "fit in".
I've been on both style trips. The traveller one (to Nepal) was people in their 30s, 40s and one lady in her 50s. The adventurer one (to India) had mostly 20 somethings but a couple of us in our 40s (I have a daughter who is 22 ;-) )
Definitely check with Im Trav re ages of people who have aleady booked. They can also tell you if they are travelling alone and what country they are from.
I have the Ethiopia trip you are interested in on my wish list too - it looks fab. Top of my list though is China - booking on a trip soon.
Good luck.
