Hi I am booked for september this year and am wondering if I need to bring a mosquito net to sleep under and/or malaria medication as there is a night jungle safari and 2 nights jungle house accomodation... I am so looking forward to this I just have a few questions...
thanks a lot!
Rowena
also I 'm wondering if there is time on the Kanchanaburi option to visit the Tiger Temple or should I allow an extra day at the end of my tour to do this? I very much want to meet the tigers myself and am not sure if the timetable allows or if it would be inconvenient for the other travellers.
thanks again!

Hi Terri,![[Smile]](smile.gif)
nice to meet you...
I'm not sure about the numbers either which is why i asked on this forum, but my travel agent told me a month or so ago that there were only 5 spots left out of a possible 12 so with 7 booked it should be running for sure. Although Sinead will hopefully be able to clarify this one for us.
very nice to make your acquaintance - I look forward to (properly) meeting both you and your daughter soon! This is definatley going to be trip to remember with the big gentle giants of the forest!
cheers

Hi Guys, Thought I would
Hi Guys,
Thought I would quickly introduce myself as I too will be coming on this trip in Sept. My name is Cat and I'll be coming from England. This trip will be the start to my 11month world wide trip which has been a dream of mine for an incredibly long time. I'm really excited, even counting down the weeks!!
Looking forward to meeting you all ;)

Re: Thailand Elephants and Adventure
Hi there Rowiegirl,
My daughter and I are booked on this trip as well and are totally stoked! I know it's going to be an amazing adventure and I am so lucky that I get to share that with my kid!! I've done a considerable amount of travel in my day (not like this though!), and am glad she is showing the same passion. This is a great way for her to get her feet wet, don't you think???
Hey Sinead, I too would like to know how many people are booked thus far. My travel agent sent me an email saying that only three people are booked and therefore the trip is not confirmed??? Can you tell me what the minimum number is for the trip to operate??
Any info you can share would be appreciated!

Re: Thailand Elephants and Adventure
thanks Sinead, so much for that info - and I will discuss the tiger temple option with the tour leader when i arrive. How long approximately do we get to spend in Kanchanaburi?
woot!!
Do you know if there are many others booked to go on this trip in September?
I'm excited by the chance to work with the elephants up close and personal! what an experience

Re: Thailand Elephants and Adventure
Hi Rowie
Thanks for your post and glad to hear that you're so excited about your trip!
In answer to your question, you don't need to bring a mosquito net with you. If they are needed on the trip they will be provided.
Some people do choose to take anti-malarial medication when travelling on this trip, I would recommend checking this with your GP to make sure you have the correct medical advice.
The Kanchanaburi extension is an independent trip so it should be OK to visit the Tiger Temple. This is something that would be arranged locally.
I hope this helps.
