Thanks for your post.
At the moment, it's a little too early to comment on whether your trip would be cancelled, as this would depend on a great number of factors. However, I would reassure you that if your trip is cancelled, for any reason, then we'l do our best to offer you some sort of alternative.
Although each situation is different, and at this stage I can't give you a concrete answer as to what would happen, when our tours are cancelled due to lack of numbers, we usually offer either a full refund, or the chance to swap to another trip in the brochure.

Hi Jim, how much notice would we be given if our tour was to be cancelled due to not enough people going on it? Do you know if there are enough people going on the Indochina adventure starting on 30 May? Thanks, Anita

6. Guaranteed Departures & Minimum Numbers
Unless otherwise mentioned all trips are guaranteed to operate once a minimum of 2 persons are booked.
Where there is only one person booked on a given departure this trip may be cancelled and compensation paid as follows:

Note 1:- Refunds and discounts referred to here apply only to trips cancelled within 56 days as a result of failure to achieve minimum numbers.
Note 2:- A replacement tour may be any tour selected from the same brochure up to the value of the original tour booked.
Note 3:- Refunds and discounts apply to the cost paid for the land content only.
Note 4:- Refunds exclude insurance premiums.

If we were to cancel your tour due to a lack of numbers, we would try to contact you at least 56 days before departure.
So far we have five people booked onto this trip.

My China trip leaves in l month which means you are giving no cancellation options for this trip as it is in May. If I cancel, and then IT cancels, am I just out of luck, or will I get a refund or the same options as those China trips scheduled for April? As a comment, it probably looks like you have 2+ travellers on all these SARS area trips because everyone is waiting for IT to decide. Could we have more updates?

I agree I too am leaving in May. With just over 3 weeks to go I would really like to know what options will be open too me. I am very concerned that the threat of the SARS virus will effect the enjoyment of the trip. When do you think more information will be made available, also if the Foreign Office's advice is extended into May and people cancel and the numbers on the tour drop will the tour be cancelled due to lack of numbers?

As I don't know which trips you're on, and whether you would be visiting affected areas, then I think that the best thing to do would be to either contact me, on jim@imtrav.net, or speak to your travel agent if you booked through one. We'll then be able to explain your options.
