I was just wondering if you have any recommendations on the kind of walking boots I should have for trekking/climbing Mount Sinai. I know the dossier says ankle support is preferable - does that mean proper hiking boots are needed? OR A type suited towards walking on sand?
Thank you
Fiona

Re: Trekking in Sinai
Hi Fee,
Choice of footwear is a personal matter.
I tend to always choose 'hiking trainers' which are tough and lightweight.
I've seen people climb Mt Sinai in sandals and in proper hiking boots.
As you'll be hiking up a mountain I'd recommend boots of some sort.

I did the climb in December and it was brilliant. Worst case scenario, there are lots of friendly bedoin with camels who are happy to take you to almost the top for E
Re: Trekking in Sinai
Hi Fiona
Great to hear that you are coming over, you will love the Sinai trek as well as the rest of your tour.
I would say its better to have a proper ankle support hikking boots as you will be doing a lot of trekking and hikking during the trekking part in Sinai.
If you would like to have a pair of hikking trainers that will be fine.
I hope that you will have the best holiday ever.
Cheers
