I did an Imaginative tour in December 97 and had a fantastic time with my leader and the group.I called peregrine who i booked with in 97 and they quoted me for a (geckos) tour. I was told Imaginative traveler was no longer in business and geckos was now the same company. Then I found you on the net. I am confused as to why I am told this when I have been booking with Peregrine for the past seven years. Can you tell me what the hell is going on? I called Peregrine telling them I had found Imaginative traveler on the net and they said it was not the same company. I want to book your tour but as I am in Australia i have to book with your agent. I have found intrepid good but they are pushing other tours and I want to visit Turkey in spring 2001. Why can't I just book an imaginative tour online or with an agent who respects the company I want to travel with?

Further to your question.
Unfortunately our online booking service is unavailable to overseas (non-UK) travellers. You can however use our site to research tours, check availability and get prices.
As you found out you can no longer book our tours through Peregrine. For the past year we have been working with Intrepid and I urge to contact them again. They are available online at the following address:

They are very knowledgeable about both our company and our product and you should find them both helpful and efficient.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
As you have discovered, we ceased working with Peregrine in November 1999.
Contrary to what you have been told by Peregrine, The Imaginative Traveller is still going strong and we have just enjoyed our busiest year ever.
It is very disappointing to learn that Peregrine are deliberately giving out false information. I can only assume that they are doing this in the hope that you might take a chance on one of their new 'Gecko's' tours instead of looking elsewhere for one of ours.
As you have also discovered, we are now working in Australia with Intrepid. They've done a great job for us in 2000.
Several of their staff have travelled with us to Turkey and should be able to give you good advice on the destination and on tour selection.
If you're stuck, you can also always post questions on our forums.
