I'm going on the Morcco trip Deserts & Kasbas.Should we bring water purification tablets? Do you have any suggestions on what clothing to pack for the month of Oct. 7-22? I was told we should bring packbacks only what do you think? Should we pack sweat shirts and what about shorts and tank tops? Are travellers cheques the way to go?
Thanks, Laura-Lee

Re: water
Hi Laura-Lee,
Bottled mineral water is readily available in all places you'll be going on the Deserts and Kasbahs tour, so no need to bring purification tablets with you. Your tour leader will prepare you for when you need to buy a supply ahead of time, e.g. for the camel trek.
Our predeparture booklet provides information about things to bring. The weather is likely to still be hot during the days, but can get cold at night so you should prepare for this. Morocco is a muslim country and we should respect the local customs. Whilst it is also very westernised, wearing tank tops and shorts in many areas is not appropriate.
Many travellers find a backpack an easier style of luggage to carry around. Some prefer a case with wheels. There are porters to assist with luggage in some places but not everywhere. Luggage is often loaded onto the roof of the buses, and softer luggage, as opposed to hard suitcases are easier to pack on the buses.
Travellers cheques and foreign currency can be changed in many places in the country. It can sometimes be difficult to change American Express travellers cheques. US dollars, Sterling and French francs are generally easily changeable currencies, whether in TC's or cash. Travellers cheques obviously give you more security than cash.
Enjoy your tour in Morocco.
