I am due to join the Vietnam Adventure tour in October. Just wondered if it was necessary to buy a water filtration device for drinking water so that I won't have to carry bottled water all the time?
Thanks!

Re: Water filter needed for Vietnam?
Hi Tim,
I have just returned from a fabulous trip in Vietnam - what a brilliant country!
On the issue of water - it is not advisable to drink tap water (although brushing your teeth with it is OK) so filtered, boiled or bottled water are your alternatives.
Whether or not you take a water filtration device on your trip is a matter of personal choice.
Personally, I wouldn't bother as bottled water is available all over the place, it's chilled (which is a godsend in the heat!) and it's not expensive. It's also available in small 500 ml bottles, so you don't have to lug huge bottles around with you all the time.
Have a great time!
