Dear all
In the dossier I received from my tourist agency, there's mentioned, that the yellow-fever vaccination is obligatory for the Trip Elephants & Beaches in Kenia.
My doctor told me, that it's no longer necessary to have it for travelling into Kenia.
Please let me know about the correct informations. :-)
Thank you in advance
Kati

Elephants & Beaches - Yellow Fever vaccination?
Dear Kati
Many thanks for posting on the forums and for having booked on our "Elephants & Beaches" tour.
I have checked our trip dossier and it does say that a Yellow Fever certificate of vaccination is required so I have looked into this for you. This is a good website for the latest information on vaccinations and travel health:
http://www.1stcontact.com/live/index.php?Item_ID=5164
This website says that you need a Yellow Fever certificate if entering from an infected country. I will check if our trip dossier needs to be updated.
Many thanks for highlight this,
Regards
Kelly
Dear Kelly
Thank you for information! I've just wanted to be sure, that I can travel into Kenia and be part of the tour with the vaccinations I have!!
Best regards from Switzerland
Kati
Kati, may I offer an opinion? I got a yellow fever shot last year for my trip to Peru. I learned that yellow fever is transmitted through mosquito bites and it's almost always deadly. There was no requirement for me to get a yellow fever shot but I did it anyway and I'm glad. I think it's best to err on the side of caution when it comes to deadly diseases. I hope you will get a yellow fever shot anyway, then you will have 10 years of immunity. Please give it some thought.
