I have read such wonderful comments on the North Indian Highlights tour that I am pretty sure I am going to sign up for it. I will be traveling solo and I like the idea of having a single room - I snore!!! I had looked at the images of India & Nepal trip but changed my mind as I would have to share a room and I might get murdered in my sleep - as well as the fact things are still a bit unsettled in Nepal I gather.
Anyway I hope to book myself on the January 21st tour to escape the cold Canadian winter - has anyone been to that area in the winter and what kind of weather can I expect? I will be stopping off in Germany & Austria on the way over and England on the way back and making it a 7 week getaway. So I am concerned about the packing situation as I will need warm clothes for winter in Europe.
Thanks!!
Laurie

Re: Another North Indian Highlights question!
I did the Among the Maharajas tour in Dec 04-jan05.
This tour covered some similar places but was 1 week longer. The weather is beautiful. clear sunny days, temp. in the low 20sC, For me tshirt and long sleeve shirt days. Evenings 8-10 C. Add a fleece. Similar to what it is in brisbane right now.
Re: Another North Indian Highlights question!
Hi there
I went on the Northern Indian Highlights tour last year, from 18th December to 1st Jan. The weather was warm-ish in the day (long sleeved t-shirt) but very, very cold at night - be prepared! Admittedly we were there during one of Delhi's coldest winters, but we even had to ask our hotels for hot water bottles! Make sure you pack plenty of layers which you can add or take off as necessary.
Have a fab time!
