Bhutan weather

Hi there,

I'am thinking about visiting Bhutan (plan to be in November, will have to be next year), and most tour guides I find says Oct-Nov is the best season, but I also see from weather website that temperature could go down to <0'C already in late Oct, could you tell me how cold would it get for say mid Nov?
Also I see on the country dossier for Bhutan saying we can hire down jacket from Nepal, exactly what is a down jacket? [Smile]

Thanks for your post.

In Thimphu in November, you should expect daytime temperatures to be between 4-5 degrees celsius, and 18-19 degrees celsius, with colder temperatures at night.

A down jacket is a warm jacket which uses down - the soft feathers - as filling. These are excellent for insulation purposes.
