Hi there,
I am planning a trip to India for the first time and would like to book this overland tour because it will get me closer to my ultimate destination which is Goa. My dilemma is - do I sacrifice seeing India with a little more style in order to cover a large area of land? Or do I do the loop tours and travel in more comfort? If anyone has been on this particular tour recently or others in India or Nepal that they loved, I would enjoy hearing your thoughts. Thanks

Re: Buddha to Bollywood
Ok, this is a bit of a biased view but from what I've heard this tour is AMAZING! I'm booked on it on August 20th and apparently there are tons of spaces left.
So, if you're planning to travel soon then hop on board! Or, if that's too soon then I can give you a full rundown on this tour once I'm back. I've heard that it's an amazing introduction for first time India explorers.
Happy travels![[Smile]](smile.gif)
Re: Buddha to Bollywood
Thanks for the reply. I won't be travelling till October to Nepal but would love to hear about your adventure. Please keep me posted. Any thoughts about the recommended vaccinations and anti-malaria pills for India. I understand that the final decision is ours to make but would like to know how you and others have dealt with this issue.
Re: Buddha to Bollywood
Hmmm, I think it depends on the time of year so in october you may not need as much mossi protection. I'm meeting a friend of mine in nepal who is out there already and she says that there is NO such thing as too much repellant. Sorry to sound gross but she says she's sleeping in pools of the stuff just to be cautious!
I've had my shots already and they were for Hep A, Typhoid, Diptheria and Polio. You may need more depending on how long you're staying.
I'm going to take malaria pills, the ones I'm having you have to start a week before you leave and carry on having for 4 weeks after you get back. You take 2 a day and there's two BIG ones that you need to take once a week.
Sounds like a lot but at the end of the day, I really didn't want to risk it with Malaria. Apparently Nepal is less of a Malaria risk place than India.
My one big tip is GET THE JABS DONE AT YOUR GP'S. They can't do everything but if you get them done at a travel centre they will cost a fortune and at the GP they are free. You do have to buy the malaria pills though, just over
