China Discovery- Luggage and Great Wall - 17 Oct

Hi
Can you please tell me when you arrive by overnight train to a place do we go the the hotel to dump bags or do you have to carry them all day? ie: when it says you have time to explore the city/town - will we be carrying our bags?I do not have a back pack - have duffle bag and don't want to buy a back pack if not necessary.
Also the Great Wall option 5 hour hike - is it fairly easy going or is it hard work? How many kms/miles is it?
Sorry about all the question - just want to be sure.

Hello Lorraine,

Thanks for the posting.

You will not have to carry your luggage whilst visiting sites etc. as it will be stored during the day and I would recommend that you take a small day bag to carry personal items.

The Great wall walk is fairly easy going though there are quite steep sections. You will be able to decide if you want to walk when you first visit the wall and if you do not like the look of what
