Thinking about this trip.
Would like to hear from anyone who will be going.
Any advice from previous travellers also appreciated.

Re: China Explored 05 June 2000
Hi Mark,
I am one of the tour leaders for Imaginative Traveller and thought that I would reply to your message as no one else has done so just yet. The tour that you are thinking of is an excellent one - you get to stay out at the wall and do a hike along it, which is my favourite thing in China. Or second, perhaps, to cycling around the fields in Yangshuo which is really awesome.
Highly recommended. Hope to see you soon !
Re: China Explored 05 June 2000
Hi Mark!
I've been to China last year with Imtrav and I loved every minute of it! I didn't do the China Explored tour but the Great China Adventure. There was a lot of sightseeiing, great towns, excellent food and sleeper trains are very comfortable. People in China
are nice and friendly, although be prepared to stare at, especially outside major cities and tourist sites. Be also prepared to have to pay for every interesting site you want to visit, and even within the compounds of such a site.
Comparing your initiary with mine, I would say that if you have only 2 weeks to spare, China Explored is a good trip, although a little less comfortable than China Adventure (more sleeper trains, less flights). But if you have 3 weeks available, I would definitely recommend the Great China Adevnture: you see a lot more of China, and more different regions!
If you have more questions, e-mail me or drop a reply. Hope you go to China, and have a marvelous time, like me!
Robert.
