Is anyone on the China Explored trip in late May ? Anyone on this trip ? Would be great to hear from people going before getting there. I'm a 35 yr old guy from SE London travelling alone -ahh! Really looking forward to the trip, but would be great to chat with others on the trip before we go- if anything, just for moral support on the Great Wall climb !!! ;-)

Just returned from Beijing and did the Wall on Fri. I'm 40 and my partner is 36. We are in average shape. The wall was about 10km and my partner finished. I turned back after about 30% with some of the others because I had been fighting a cold. A retired gentlemen finished along with 5 others. The leader always goes along and walks at the back even if just one person finishes. The people who turn back all do so at a specific time to return to the bus at Jinshanling and meet the bus at the start point. Then drive to pick up others at the Simatai lot. I think after hearing how it was and looking at the pics I should have gone all the way, but still had a great adventure doing part of the walk and would recommend it to anyone. Have a great trip!
