hello,
so who else is registered for the 28 sept.trip? i am a little concerned with safety in nepal. i think for example that canada is currently recommending against travel in the entire kingdom. does anyone know about the situation in the areas we will be trekking through? other than that is anyone staying on after the tour?

Hi Jessie

Thanks for your post.

While it is true that Nepal has suffered civil unrest and problems from Maoist insurgent groups in recent months, at the moment this is largely under control.

Kathamndu, and the area that you will be trekking in, are widely considered to be safe at the present. The only areas where trouble still exists are in the far west of the country, which we do not visit on our tours.

For up to date advice, try having a look at the Foreign Office website, at www.fco.gov.uk

I hope this helps. Have a great trip.
