How often is the flight from Varanasi to Kathmandu cancelled?
There is a note in the dossiers that says: Please note that if the flight Varanasi/Kathmandu is cancelled, we travel overland to the border with Nepal, stay overnight and then continue to Kathmandu.
Is that a common occurence in October/November?

Hi Carole,
The flight from Varanasi to Kathmandu is occasionally cancelled due to inclement weather. Fog in particular. This is also the case on journeys coming from the other direction.
Being such a mountainous region fog can materialise as and when it feels like it, or to put it another way, the flight schedule is in the hands of the Gods!
It is not really a predictable event and can happen all year round, though rarely it affects the tour.
