I'm travelling to India doing North & South tours, do I need a vaccination or health card. I already have a letter from Doctor showing what medications, and vaccinations I have had. Is this enough.

Hello mrobertson,

Many thanks for your post.

There is a post a bit further down the page with this information which I hope you find useful.

We have had some updated advise from the Indian High Commsion regarding Indian visas and travelling to India:

In view of the spread of the Swine Influenza A(H1N1) all passengers travelling to India will be screened at the International Airports in India on their arrival and required to carry the Health Card at the Immigration. This will also involve quarantine and even hospitalisation, if detected, with any symptoms connected with the flu.

In respect to that, all visa applicants are required fill the self declaration Health card and required to submit along with the application form at the Visa Application Centres. All the applicants are required to carry this Health card, while travelling to India and may required to produce at the Immigration in India. All the Travel agents are required to submit this self declaration Health Card along with Visa application form at the application centre duly signed by the applicant.

You can download the health card here:
