I'm interested in the Himalayan Frontier, but I'm really confused about next year. In your website now there are 2 trips (14 days and 11 days) but when I click on both of them they all show the 11 days itinerary.
Does that means that now the trip is only 11 days ? And what about Bhutan because it seems it doesn't go there anymore...

Many thanks for your enquiry. We have an 11 day Himalayan Frontier tour (HTHI) and have an add on for those who wish to visit Bhutan.
If you wish to do the Bhutan extension you would leave the Himalayan Frontier tour on day 10 and travel to Phuntsoling from Darjeeling.

I have 2 questions :
On the new itinerary, the day 10 is the excursion to Tiger Hill and Gangtok Monastery. But if I choose the Extension to Bhutan, the day 10 is travelling to the border.
Does that means that if I do the extension I will miss the excursions ?
Also I wanted to verify if will need a single entry visa or double entry visa for India. We will leave India to enter Bhutan and the re-enter India at the end with the flight to Kolkata. So shouldn't I get a double entry visa ?

Hello Olivia,
I have just been notified that there has been an error on the brochure the Bhutan extension leaves the tour on day 11 not day 10. This means that it arrives back in Kolkata on day 16 not day 15. So that means yyou would not miss the excursions on day 15!

Sorry I mean't you wouldn't miss excursions on day10- oops. You will need a double entry visa for India, I will let you know what 'type' as soon as I have been advised.

One other question for the return : The trip dossier says that :
Day 16, Kolkata
Transfer to Paro airport for the flight back to Kolkata. Tour finishes on arrival in Kolkata
do you know at what time we are scheduled to arrive ? Can I book an evening flight back or do I have to travel on Day 17 ?
Thanks for clarification as I need to sort out how many days I will take off work as this trip is now longer than before with Bhutan extension (but we visit more Sikkim which is nice...)
