Hi, on the Indian Images tour on Dec 17th and want to ask what the weather will be like. Rough Guide is saying 20-25 degrees but I've been told by an Indian colleague that it will not be that warm! The last time I was in India was the S.India Adventurer at the same time of the year but so much further south! Please help....
Also is anyone else booked on this trip?
Thanks
Claire

Re: Indian Images - Dec 17th
Hi Claire,
Thanks for your question.
Many people consider October to March the best time to visit India as the weather is generally cooler at this time of year.
January is normally the coolest month in Delhi and the surrounding area but the average temperature is still just over 20 degrees normally. In December the average is around 23 degrees.
I haven't been to India at this time of year and obviously somebody who hails from India will know what to expect but most weather sources indicate temperatures in the late teens to early twenties in December in and around Delhi.
There are currently 8 people confirmed on your tour on the 17th December.
I hope this helps.

Hi Brendan,
Do you have any more information about the Hotel Ashok Int.(Gupta Road) in Delhi, like,if they have showers with hot water, We have tried the phone number that was given to us and nobody answered. How can we be sure that someone is going to pick us up at the airport? we are in the Rajasthan Explorer group that initiates on Dec.16 and we arrive on the 15th. Thank you so much.

Re: Indian Images - Dec 17th
Hi Senmar,
Thanks for your question.
I'm 99% sure that the hotel does have hot water but I'll just double check with our India office for you and get back to you shortly.
As long as you have given us (or your travel agent) your flight arrival details then we should have arranged an airport transfer for you to the hotel. If you are arriving a day before your tour begins you need to have booked your pre-tour accommodation with us too to qualify for an airport transfer.
If you are not sure whether or not a transfer has been arranged please check with your booking agent or you should be able to see it on your trip invoice?
I hope this helps.

Hi Senmar,
Just to confirm, the Hotel Ashoka International, commonly used at the start of this tour, does indeed have hot water and hot showers.
I hope this helps.
