Hi there,
I am goimg on this trip at the beginning of September and I was wondering if you had any tips such as what to pack etc.
What will the weather be like- hot or cold, wet or dry. etc?
Have we to carry our bags on the trek and if so do we bring all our luggage or can we leave some behind?
Also do we need sleeping bags?
Thank you.

Can you also tell me what the best way to arrange a taxi from the airport in Delhi- we have been told to organise in advance.
Thanks.
Mo.

Re: Ladakh- The Hidden Kingdom
Hello Mo 2
Thanks for your post- I would recommend packing clothes that you can layer on this tour.
Here are the special luggage requirements from the trip dossier:
Special Luggage Requirements
The Pre-Departure Information includes an extensive luggage checklist. However, there are some special requirements for this tour:
Towel
Day pack
Walking boots or sturdy trainers
Sleeping bag
Torch
Note: Sleeping bags with liners can be hired in Leh at a rate of US$3 per day.
On Adventurer tours it is very important that you do not bring too much luggage as you will find it extremely difficult to get on/off buses and trains etc and there is a fair amount of walking to/from hotels. You are also likely to encounter many cobbled streets and dirt roads so luggage on wheels is unsuitable.
When you are on the trek you will need a day pack that you can carry.
The weather at this time of yearis usually clear and dry. it is worth noting that the monsoons that affect most of India are not prevelant in this area.
I hope that this helps!
Kate
