Having just returned from this trip I can certainly recommend it. However, the level of fitness required is more than the brochure suggests. There are almost vertical ascents and descents (by steps, which can be exhausting)Best training -run up and down the stairs millions of times before you go (forget about going to the gym) Take a trekking pole. Be prepared to put the same sweaty t-shirt on each day as lack of wind does not encourage drying no matter how hot the sun. Take an extra mat - the ones provided to sleep on are pretty thin. You ccould easily manage the trip in trekking sandals (one of our group did)if you prefer.
Have a great time- we did!
