Yes mate,
I'm on this tour. Travelling from Dublin Ireland 2nd trip with Im Trav. Went to China in 03. Absolutely brilliant trip. Also Peru in 04 with Tucan travel. Really looking forward to this one. Everybody says that India is very intense and overwhelming but I can't wait. And I'm definitely travelling light this time. Took way too much stuff last trip.

Am sure there will be plenty of "stuff" (post edited by Edtrav. Pls. Don't swear!) to purchase!
This is my second imtrav trip, did egypt in 2003 and bangkok to singapore last year, will be dragging my bloke along with me this year though, it's his first tour so it could be highly amusing when he realises what hes let himself in for.
Am expecting great things from this trip, particularly looking forward to tiger spotting, though must admit am not a curry fan at all and suspect ill be living off rice and whatever drinks they serve at the bar!
From the photos posted by other travellers, everything looks like it'll be fantastic!
I's just got back from the Moghul Highlights tour (the same tour minus Varanisi - time didn't allow) and you are in for a treat - India is indeed overwhelming - and wonderful! And the food's just unbelievable - very little rice in the north - lots of breads - naan, roti, chipati, lots of veggie dishes... - you certainly don't go hungry! All I can say is - I'm going back - for longer next time. Have a wonderful time - I've done quite a bit of travelling and this was definitely one of the best experiences I've had.

Re: North Indian Highlights 3rd April
I did Rajasthan Safari last january. I had the time my life. It's the best vacation of my life. I agree that India is so addictive that you would want to go back anytime! I'm planning to visit in two years.
Btw, our tour guide is currently doing the Northern Indian tour, but I'm not sure if she's doing it on April.
The food is inexpensive and if you really want a very good Indian restaurant I would recommend Sweets Corner in Sunder Nagar in Delhi. We stayed in Maharani Hotel and it's just two blocks away. If you want to buy jewelry, Jaipur is the place to be. The gems are real and cheap. Varanasi is such a special place inspite of what's going on Ganges River. One of the places I would love to go back to. In Varanasi, there's a Korean Restaurant, that is so good. If the tour guide happens to be my friend...she knows it pretty well by now and I'm sure she's gonna go there for lunch.

I agree with Sweets Corner..We arrived in Delhi a few days early and ate several meals at Sweets Corner. It was delicious and perhaps the cheapest meals we have ever eaten..There was also a bakery just down the street (i don't remember what it was called)..They had really good bakery items and excellent potato chips and snacks, that we purchased and ate along the way!!

The bakery's name is Nirula's. I agree - their baking is yummy!!! We ate there a couple of times while in Delhi and bought goodies for the road. I was particularly intrigued by the uniformed doorman - at a bakery! And I'm already dreaming of trip #2 - probably Kerala, although I'd like to do the same trip again - in a more leisurely manner.

Hi guys, I'm on this tour too.
I'm originally from Italy and live in Munich/Germany now. I'll arrive in Delhi one day earlier (on the morning of april 2nd) with a Lufthansa nonstop flight from Munich. If anyone else is already there that day, we may explore the city together.
This is my first group tour, since I usually organize my trips by myself (mainly to asian countries). But as a "solo" traveller this is not always just fun, so I decided to try out a group tour. Chaotic India was in my eyes the right country for that.
I'm really looking forward to the departure in about 3 weeks. Next week I will request my visa and then I should be ready for the adventure!

I'm travelling out of Frankfurt to Delhi on 2Apr on Lufthansa flight LH760. If anybody else on this trip (3rd April) is doing likewise let me know and we'll hook up in the airport.

Re: North Indian Highlights 3rd April
were landing in delhi on 2nd april at about 11pm local time, and i suspect well try and head straight for the nearest bar/the hotel bar if there is one, so would love to meet up with anyone who flys in that day or before. We are also hoping to catch the Champions League matches while were away, does anyone know if they televise these games out there? I know they do in sri lanka on "star sports" or "espn".

Hi all, I did the North Indian Highlights tour last year and it was fabulous. I would definitely recommend booking in for a massage at the Mandawa Desert Resort, it was amazing. Jaipur is beautiful, the fort at Amber is great, the elephant ride I totally loved. There are just so many great things to see and do. Varanassi is so totally different from anywhere else you'll ever experience, and Sarnath is so tranquil in comparison. The Bread of Life Bakery is definitely worth a visit while in Varanassi. Have loads of fun, Paula
