I'm booked for the Rajasthan Safari dep. Nov. 11.
I have a few questions about what to bring:
1) Will I need hiking boots, or will my Tevas & a pr of runners be good enough?
2) How chilly is it at night? Will one fleece work, or should I bring a sweatshirt too?
3) My travel agent advised me to carry mainly travellers cheques,b/c when she was there 2 years ago, there were not many ATM's. Has this changed?
I imagine I'll have more questions, but this is a start. Thanks for any help.

Re: Rajasthan Safari
Hi there,
A pair of runners should be fine, but Tevas, please excuse my ignorance, what are they? (honestly, I'd like to know)
Temperatures range from around 8 - 28C (46 - 82F) throughout this time of year so Certainly at the bottom end of the scale it can get quite chilly at night. It really depends on whether or not you are susceptible to the cold. A fleece should be fine, but if there is lots of room in your bag then why not stuff a sweatshirt in there. Is it worth the extra weight?
There are ATM machines in Rajasthan however they are not located at all banks. So don't rely on it them too much. You will always be able to change hard currency travellers cheques especially AMEX.
Credit cards are widely accepted in Indian cities and larger towns, particularly American Express, Diners Club, MasterCard and Visa.

Tevas are sport waterproof sandals. Very popular here in the usa/
