I am booked with my mum to go on the Mogul Highlights tour early January, and we are both very excited for this.
However, I have been keeping up to date with the Australian government's travel adviseries, and today I read a frightening update about India. I will quote here what I read on the website:
"We have received reports that terrorists may be planning attacks against the Hotel Maharani Palace and Hotel Maurya Palace in Jaipur. Attacks against other hotels in Jaipur cannot be ruled out. "
I understand that pretty much anywhere in the world is "unsafe" these days, but in terms of warnings like this, how seriously does Imaginative-Traveller take them? If there is a significant threat like this to a city or hotel that is part of one of the tours, is the itinery changed? This might be a stupid question, but does Imaginative-Traveller and its tour guides keep up to date with government information like this and act accordingly to ensure our safety?
Thanks,
Mandy.

Re: Travel adviseries
Hi Mandy
Thanks for your post.
In answer to your question, safety is our number one priority when running our trips for both our clients and staff.
We follow the advise of the British Foreign Office and that of our local offices when deciding whether a trip is safe to depart. I can assure you that we take this very seriously.
For updates on our travel policies, please look at the sections of the forums dedicated to this topic.
The 'Moghul Highlights' is a great tour and I'm sure that you and your Mum will have a fab time!
I hope this helps
