TRAVEL TO INDIA
Issued 24th July 2002
Over recent months there has been considerable coverage of events in India and the crisis between India & Pakistan.
The Imaginative Traveller has been monitoring the situation very carefully and following the travel advice issued by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) of the British government.
At the beginning of June the FCO began advising against travel to India. This advice continued until the 22nd July at which time it was updated. They are now no longer advising against travel although they recommend that travellers keep up to date with all developments in the region.
We are continuing to receive regular reports from our offices in Delhi and Goa. These reports strongly state that the situation on the ground is safe and calm and that our tours will be able to operate as normal.
We have already cancelled all tours departing up to and including the 27th September. These tours will not be re-opened and will remain cancelled.
However, we will now be operating all tours departing from the 28th September, subject to the tour achieving minimum numbers.
If you are booked to travel to India with The Imaginative Traveller at any time from September 28th 2002 onwards and would prefer not to travel we will be pleased to help you transfer your booking to a trip in one of our other destinations or to postpone your trip to a later date, provided that you make this change more than 56 days before the departure date of your tour.
If you would like to do this the only costs involved will be a
