I am looking at using Imag Trav for the first time.....like to travel but am normally doing it for business as a manager....so staying in nice hotels....am 53 and am wondering am I going to be a fish out of water on a CR tour- going on my own.

Have been to Aust and NZ on my own- booked day tours and flew from place to place...daughter there for some of that time. Last year to the wilds of Scotland with my husband....picked nice B&B's online though....so....it might help if I had an idea what the hotels were like....packing light doesn't bother me- I can go business wise for a week with a carry on.

Re: Costa Rica tours

Hi

I am glad that you are considering one of our tours to Costa Rica. I frequently travel on my own and did the Rainforest Adventure tour last summer. It was an amazing experience, fantastic scenery and wildlife and although we packed in an awful lot, there still seemed to be plenty of time to relax.

I thought the accommodation was pretty good. It was mainly chalet style, in lovely settings and in good locations. Some were more basic than others but all were clean and with ensuite facilities.

If you are concerned about travelling on your own, we can always check the ages and sex of clients already booked on to a particular departure date and whether they are travelling on their own. I travelled with a really nice group and there were a few other single travellers besides me.

Please give me a call on 01473 667337 if I can be of any further help and if you have any specific questions.

Kind regards
Catherine

Re: Costa Rica tours

I am actually looking at trying to get on the one leaving April 11-19th. Amazing Costa Rica Tour. If booking it, I will likely be contacting my travel agent tomorrow.

What are your thoughts? Many single females- plus as I said I am in my early 50's.

Re: Costa Rica tours

Hi there,

I am interested in doing the Quetzal Quest over summer so would be grateful if you could post about your trip when you get back.

I hope you have a great trip.

Re: Costa Rica tours

Hi

I did the Quetzal Quest trip at the end of last year and had a great time. Even though I caught the end of the rainy season that didn't spoil it. Costa Rica is a fantastic country. We did hit the occasional delay but as long as you take it as part of the laid back way of life you should enjoy the adventure!

Re: Costa Rica tours

Thanks for replying. I'm glad you had a good time on your trip. Mine isn't looking too hopeful as there is only one booking so far. I've taken to researching holidays in the rest of the Im Trav brochure.
