Re: Currency
Hi Anthill
I've just got back from Central America - I'm from the UK and I took US dollars with me, which are extremely easy to exchange and can sometimes even be used in transactions without exchanging (although you do normally get a better deal using local currency).
It's easy to get currency exchanged as and when entering new countries on the tour.
If going to Cuba, take Euros, as you won't be able to use USD there.
Happy travels

Re: Currency
Hello Anthill.
Thanks for the post and sorry for my getting the wrong end of the stick. Both currencies would be fine to exchange upon arrival, however it may be worth consulting a specialist in regards to which would be better. My instinct says dollars but would be worth getting a second opinion.
I hope this helps,
All the best,
Robert

Re: Currency
Thanks for your reply - but actually what I meant to ask was would there be any problem taking Euros to change into the local currency or is it safer to take US Dollars i.e. would they be more readily acceptable in exchange bureaux than Euros?

Re: Currency
Hey there!
Thanks for your post.
Whilst it is always preferable to use the local currency, US dollars would be fine for Central America, Euros not being as good an idea.
All the best,
Robert
