HI Anne
Thanks for your post, and I am not supprised you are getting excited as it is not long to go now. At present there is a total of 8 in your group. Hopefully one of them will be reading the forums and will contact you.
The weather today in Lima is sunny and I hope it stays that way for you.
Hmm what to pack is always a big question and if you are anything like me you will pack way to much. All I can say is put everything out that you think you need and then half it, and remember that you will need to carry your bags so you dont want them too heavy & full as there are always laundry services avaiable and of course the opportunity to buy anything you have forgotton.
I am sure you will have a great trip.
Sue
I was wondering about getting laundry done as we are on the move a lot, not in one place for long. Is it inexpensive? and what would be a realistic turnaround time? How much would we need to carry our own luggage? we are thinking of getting big rucksack type bags with wheels, will these be suitable?
Anne
Hi Anne
Thanks for your post.
In answer to your laundry question, you can expect about a 24hour turn around on this and it is very cheap to have done, and your tour leader will be able to advise on the best place to use.
As for luggage, a rucksack is a very good idea as you will need to carry your bags on & off transport and to the hotels. Wheels can be very useful but in some places there are cobbled streets and roads can be quite rough in places.
Have a great trip

Do we have to carry our luggage always? any porters included in our tour package? Whew, will need to look at luggage options! Any suggestions welcome.
Anne
Hi Anne
You only really have to carry your luggage short distances. You will either be transferred directly to that nights accommodation if it's one of the journeys done by private transport, or if your journey is by public transport it will be a short walk or even a quick taxi ride.
I also agree that rucksack style bags with wheels are a good idea for this kind of tour.
Have a great time
David
Thanks David,
we are getting 100 Litre rucksacks that will pack into restricted areas, hopefully, easier than our usual suitcases.I just wasn't sure that there would be assistance with our luggage from trains, buses, etc.Looks like we have made the right choice thanks to the forum.
