Hi,

I booked this tour last week, and I'm going on my own, so you wouldn't be the only one if you booked! I'm really excited, bit nervous, but should be great... anyone else out there booked for the 22nd???

Hi lee,
Planning to head to Bali and up through indonesia for about three weeks after the tour, then i need to head back to uni again, unfortunatly. I am arriving in Bangkok the day before the tour statrs, is anyone else? where you heading from, you still at home, where is that? only two weeks left, lets hope it goes quickly!

I'm starting to get jealous, sounds like you lot are off on some amazing trips! I'm back to work in September. I get into Bangkok the day before too - flying from Manchester via Dubai. Just 2 weeks to go...! Have you got visas or do you know if we can get temp ones when we get there? STA said I didn't need them, but just wanted to check.

Hi there all,

I have read that you get issued a temp visa for up to 30 days on arrival, although you can apply for one if you plan to stay longer.

I think this is the latest info, although of course the site moderator will tell us if its changed i am sure. There is a site called travcour that tells you the latest info, though.

I have a 9 month trip, and have just jacked my job in so its a bold and btave move but i am so excited.

2 weeks to go and counting, looking forward to meeting you all.

Have a good time when you get to Bangkok, and find us a good bar and a good food place for when we get there!!

PS I don't think trav-eller will be the only father figure.. I am 31, so no spring chicken!

Glad to hear you are arriving the day early too, i can't wait should be great fun, wish it was sooner as i'm still stuck at uni doing exams. think you can just get a visa there, that is what i'm planning on doing anyway. x

Right!,I've booked! Flying from Manchester and arriving 21st in Bangkok so if anyone else is around from about 10am in the morning let me know!!

Also asked what the mix of people is and apparently there are 6 ladies, 7 guys and one couple!!

Glad to see you have managed to get acquainted before the tour.

Most nationalities can obtain a Malaysian, Thai and Singapore single entry visa on arrival. This is valid for 30 days. If you are concerned I recommend checking with the relevant Embassy or visiting [url=http://www.travcour.com.]www.travcour.com.[/url]

For you guys who are arriving a day or so earlier, I'll pass on some helpful info. The hotel we stayed in was the New World Lodge. It pretty good. Anyway you can get fantastic food and drinks in the area near the hotel and Kho San Road is a mere five minute walk away! In the streets near the hotel there is Cafe Corner (great veg curries and Khao Soi)Mama's on the corner of Soi 2 has the best crab curry and morning glory and across the road is a fantastic little blues bar called Ad Here with live music and next door is the Baghdad Cafe where you can smoke middle-eastern waterpipes and hang out.

Have a great trip l loved it and everyone l met were just great.

Hi, i am doing the 22nd tour as well, i fly out of Wellington NZ on the 19th with 20 hours worth of stop/start travel to Bangkok, cant wait tour looks all good, probably stay at the hotel the time prior but i may backpack a day or two first to try and meet people as Just me travelling.

I go onto UK after this tour..
