Re: BANGKOK TO SINGAPORE 29 JULY
Hiya Katie and Lorraine,
Am glad to hear that there are other girls coming on this trip, I only booked it last week and was told that i was the 15 person to book on this trip, have u heard from anyone else??
I am 26 and from North Wales, booked the flights with the tour group as got the best deal with them, wasnt many seats left on the dates i wanted, so flying from Manchester to London and then to middle east then to Bangkok, same coming home from singapore, but staying 2 extra nights there,
An really looking forward to this trip, have been to bangkok before its a grate place, last year did something like this in usa and canada,
Anyway this is a grate way to keep in touch with everyone, and also to help each other on what to take and what not, as i always end up taking to much with me
Only 33 days to go!!!
Suzanne

Re: BANGKOK TO SINGAPORE 29 JULY
Hiya,
It is a brilliant way to stay in touch im so relieved that there are others going on there own. Im flying from Dublin to heathrow then on to Singapore and then back up to Bangkok. Ill be definitely flying on my own I think and im not a great flyer! Im leaving the day the trek ends. I did something similar like this in the states a few yrs ago! I packed way too much then so im going to try and not do the same this time around. I was wondering if either of use are bringing a sleeping bag or something similar to sleep in or is there any need too? Ive also been advised to bering a spare bag in my bag because the shopping is very good in Bangkok.

Re: BANGKOK TO SINGAPORE 29 JULY
Hiya lorraine
After reading your message was unsure if we are doing the same trip u said "flying from dublin to heathrow and then to singapore treck up to bangkok and then home". Are u flying to singapore first or was it an error and u ment bangkok??? from what i can gather this trip is done on a back to back, singapore to bangkok (trip code SASB) and bangkok to singapore (trip code SABS) or was it me just reading your message wrong???
Well anyway i am doing bangkok to singapore trip(SABS), hope your doing the same,
suzanne
Re: BANGKOK TO SINGAPORE 29 JULY
Hi Suzanne,
Fear not, I am ont he same trip as you and Katie except that for some reason when i arranged my flights through imaginative traveller the best flights for me are in fact dublin-london-singapore - bangkok. Im flying into singapore and getting a connecting flight to Bangkok and arriving at 10am in Bangkok for the trek.
Re: BANGKOK TO SINGAPORE 29 JULY
hi brendan,
can you please tell me when we're going to receive our travel vouchers and stuff? it said a month beforehand but i'm getting a bit worried cos its only 23 days till we go now!
also, do we need to take a mosquito net?
thanx, katie
Re: BANGKOK TO SINGAPORE 29 JULY
Hi,
You should all have your documents by now, if you have booked through an agent please contact them as they may have them. If you have booked direct through us then email us directly (online@imtrav.net) with your booking reference and I will check to see where they are.
For vaccinations and malaria queries we recommend you ask your GP or nurse as they have the most up to date information.
You do not need to take a sleeping bag but a sleep sheet is recommended. Also a mosquito net is recommended.
If you have any more questions let me know.
Re: BANGKOK TO SINGAPORE 29 JULY
hi, thanx for replying but i re-read the trip dossier after i posted that message and it said we didn't need a mosquito net. which is correct? thanx, katie
Re: BANGKOK TO SINGAPORE 29 JULY
hi i am thinking about booking the trip on the 29th for bangkok to singapore i was just wondering if anyone is leaving to get to bacgkok a few days earlier and leave singapore a few days later so you have longer there to explore more?
Re: BANGKOK TO SINGAPORE 29 JULY
Hi,
I've done this trip before with an excellent Thai tour leader called Jang, she was a bundle of laughs and full of enthusiasm. If you're lucky enough to get her please say hi! Also, the accommodation is pretty basic but really friendly, you might want to get sarongs or a sleep sheet because sometimes we had to share beds, but hey it's just a place to sleep!
Good luck
Don Suz

Re: BANGKOK TO SINGAPORE 29 JULY
Hiya Lara,
I am also going on this trip, as it sounds great, am flying from manchester to london and then onto bangkok for the start of the trip, but coming home i am staying afew extra nights in singapore as apparently there is loads to do there, and its going to be ages till i go there again, I am also traving alone but been in touch with katie and lorrane who are also travilling alone, so would be good if we could all meet up before hand, the only thing i would say is that i am going around in circles with what to do about the visa's no one can tell you if the one you get at the airport is ok or if you have to aply for one which costs about
