Has anyone booked this trip and does anyone no the name of the hotels we will be staying in? I have never been to Asia before and also have questions regarding the bus and train rides. Are they comfortable (relatively speaking) or are we on those old wooden school chairs? Is there AC?
Thanks in advance for answers to these questions and any other information you can share.

Re: Bangkok to Singapore July 5th

Hi Ian,

Thanks for your questions.

Your tour is almost half full at the moment (maximum 18). You stay in a range of different hotels but as these are subject to occasional change we do not provide lists of all the hotels used.

I can advise you of the departure and ending hotels that you will most likely be using though, which will give you some idea:

City : BANGKOK
Meeting at : NEW WORLD LODGE
Address : 2 Samsen Rd, Banglamphu, Ban Pranthom, Pranakorn
Telephone : (66) 2 281 5596
Fax : (66) 2 282 5614

City : Singapore
Meeting at : Hangout Hotel
Address : 10a Upper Wilkie Road
Telephone : (65) 6 438 5588
Fax : (65) 6 339 6008

As for the trains and buses; the trains are perfectly comfortable and air conditioned. Indeed they can get a bit chilly but it's lovely when you first step on board out of the hot air. There's a central corridor in each carriage with two beds, one on top of the other, on either side of the corridor. These are folded away in daylight hours and the bottom bed forms seats.

Buses vary in size depending on the eventual size of your group but will mostly have air-conditioning too, if not always.

I hope this helps.

Regards,
Brendan

Thanks Brendan. Are there many single travellers booked on this trip?

Hi Ian,

Not at the moment there aren't but it's common to receive late bookings and there are normally at least a few people travelling on their own on this tour.

Brendan
