Hey everyone,
I have booked to go on the Bangkok to Singapore tour which starts on the 6th May. Just wondering if anyone else is going on the tour.
I am arriving in Bangkok on the 4th and have also booked a couple of nights pre tour accommodation. Travelling on to bali and then to oz after.
Give us a shout if u are on the same tour or doing anything similar.

hi!
i am now in hongkong, staying here for nearly 9 weeks. today iam going to beijing for the weekend. jet i dont know when going to bangkok - of course at least on 6 may. but i thought to go to bali for a few days before the tour starts. are you also travelling around before or are you just comming to asia for the tour?

Hope you had a good weekend in beijing. Asia is actually the first stop for me on my round the world trip. After the tour finishes in singapore i am travelling to bali for a couple of weeks and then onto oz where i am going to work. I am going to stay in oz until about january and then i am off to nz, fiji and canada. I really cannot wait to set off now.

Hiya Me and my friend Graham will be on this tour too! I'm 22 and Graham is 19 and we are taking bout 3-4 mths out to go travelling. We're travelling to North Thailand prior this tour (Northern Explorer departing 24/4/04) and then on to OZ and Hong Kong after. Where abouts in Oz r u hoping to go? This forum is great as u get an idea whos goin on the tour and get to know them a bit befor you go! See u very soon, Laura

Good to hear from someone else who is going on the tour. Yeah the forums are a great idea, u get to know a few people before u go and read what other people think of the tours. I am going to oz on a working visa so planning to see as much of the country as possible. I fly into melborne so plan to stay there for a bit and then up the coast to sydney for xmas and new year. Nothing is set in stone yet just going to see what happens when i get out there.
Not long until we set off now. I am counting down the working days left. So what are your plans for oz?

Hi ya Ross,
Thanks for replying! Well after the tour we are staying in Singapore for a week then flying to Perth as Graham's uncle lives there so we're kipping at his for bout 10 days (never say no to free lodging!!) Then flying on to Sydney on the 8th June. From there we are catching the Oz Experience bus up the East coast to Cairns, then flying to Alice Springs (Ayers Rock) and then flying back to Sydney. But nothing it set in stone so we shall see how it all goes!! We havent got working visas for Oz, just saved up (hard) for a year, so be nice to get out there (and no more work!!!)Only 4 more days at work for me! See you soon and have a nice Easter break. Laura

I've also booked to go on this tour - seems like there will be a few of us from England going! I'm flying to Bankok on the 21st April but heading up to the Chiang Mai area for a bit before joining the tour. After that I shall be staying in Singapore for about 4 more days before heading off to (yes you've guessed!) Oz (Brisbane)where I shall be staying for about 4 weeks before doing NZ, Fiji and US
If none of you happen to post again before the 6th May then enjoy the beginnings of your travels and I shall see you then

Where abouts from England are you from? I'm flying to Bangkok on the 20th (a week today!!)and heading up North to Chiang Mai befor the tour too. R you travelling on your own?

Yes I'm travelling by myself - at least until I get to New Zealand in July when I meet up with a friend. I'm flying out to Bankok the day after you and spending a few days there before heading up to Chiang Mai for about a week.
I'm from a little known place called Grimsby - quite close to Hull, bit further away from Sheffield.
If I don't here from you, have a safe journey and I will see you in Bankok!!!

Hope you are both well. How's the final preparations going? have u got everything sorted. When are you both getting back to bangkok before the start of the tour? I don't live to far from you helen, i live near doncaster. I was actually out in grimsby and cleethorpes for my friends birthday last week. If i don't hear from either of you have a safe journey and i will see you at the start of the tour.

I get back to Bangkok on 2/05/04 so will have a few days in Bangkok befor I start the tour. Its my last day at work tomorrow-scarey!! I think I have done and remembered everything and all prepared to go. Got my leaving party on Saturday so looking forward to that!! See you soon,

Not yet sure as to when I will be back in Bankok - probably around the 3rd/4th May but who knows that may change. Finished work on Friday, had leaving do out in Grimsby and am still recovering now while trying to get my bag packed!!So Ross you've been out in Grimsby/Cleethorpes before, that should give us something to talk about - well for about 5 mins anyway!!!
