Hi guys! I was just wandering if theres anyone else roaming round here thats doing the same tour as me in feb?!! I would just kinda like to know what kinda people etc im gonna be travellin with. Not that it matters but could be good to get to know some of you b4 we go?!!
Im flying out of Manchester on 10th Feb, Into Bangkok on 11th and staying at the new world lodge! Im guessing this is the meeting point!?!

I'm also booked on this tour. I won't be joining up with you guys until Feb 14th though(in Krabi), as I'll just be finishing up another tour.

Just a quick question!! How are you taking money for Asia?! Are you takin travllers cheques or are you just going to withdraw it out of your bank or something when your there? Im a bit baffled on this one! And if you are taking travellers cheques, what currency are you taking?!
I know im blatantly gonna forget a million and one things!! Ah well! Nothin i can do about it once i get there so gonna just try and relax now!!

Hey Ali. I'm going on that trip too, I can't wait!!
I am staying at the same place so I reckon its probably the meeting place. I'm not gonna get to Bangkok til early on the 12th, I fly there from Delhi. I'm staying in Singapore for a few days after the tour as well.
Is the tour a whole holiday for you or are you going to other places too? I'm doing a rtw trip in my gap year (too lazy to go straight to uni!!).

Hello Again!
No, I've never done an ImTrav tour before, only Contiki. My other tour is with Explore, and I'm doing Islands in the Sun (Koh Hai, Lanta, Phi Phi) to spend some more time on those beautiful beaches I've heard so much about.
Unfortunately, I have to go straight home when the tour ends in Singapore, so I'm very envious of those of you travelling on- only so much time and $$, you know!
Speaking of... I will be bringing mostly Traveller's Cheques in $USD, (but I'm sure you could bring them in British Pounds as well.) Just for the safety factor, plus it's what my Travel Agent recommended. We shall see how that goes...

Hi,
I just did this Bangkok to Singapore trip not long ago. It was great! New world Lodge is the meeting point and its pretty good. Its right in downtown near Khao San Road, the river, palace, temples and excellent food! The places we stay at in Malaysia are a bit more basic but heaps of fun and atmosphere and run by nice people. It was a good way to get to meet the locals. We had a tour leader called Jang she is a Thai girl and a bundle of fun.
you'll love it but be prepared and bring a sleepsheet for Malaysia.
