Did anybody go on this trip in April? I'd love some feedback as we're thinking of doing it this Christmas. My kids will be 12 & 10. I really want to know how suitable it is for them, if there was any problems with food, accomodation etc.
Thanks for any replies.

Re: Fabulous Thailand-Family Trip

I took my two daughters (13 & 9) on this trip and we had a fantastic time. The tour was definitely suited to their ages - we thought that there was a great balance between activities and free time and none of the activities were strenuous. The food was great - most of it was not too spicy and many restaurants had international menus available as well as Thai. Both kids and I found that there was too much to eat! There were no problems with accom. The hotels were good and the floating bungalows were lovely. The tribal hut was very basic but a wonderful experience, particularly enjoyed by the kids!

We all thoroughly recommend this tour for families. Can't wait to do another.

Suggestions:
Don't take too many clothes - the hotels have a cheap and efficient laundry service and you can buy very cheaply too. We lived in strappy sandals (suitable for rafting) and only wore trainers for the trek. Every hotel provided towels for the pool/beach so we only needed one for the tribal hut and overnight trains.
Take a daypack with you as these are used for the two/three day trips to River Kwai and Tribal Village (large luggage was left in storage at hotels).

Hope that this has been useful. Have a great trip!

Thanks Niki,
The info is really helpful - can't wait to get it booked now. Just one more thing I meant to ask. Did you spend much money while you were there - I just want to make sure our budjet will strech far enough.
Thanks again
