China airlines is also cheap and quite good. Note that China airlines is from Taiwan, not from mainland China! (EvaAir is from Taiwan as well.)

Go to ORBITZ.COM I booked txts from Monterey CA to Bangkok for $900 per txt. Unfortunately that is a s low as it goes that time of year. Also look at Travelocity.com. They had some specials if your dates were flexible for around $750pp. Good Luck!
