Can anyone confirm that the full moon beach party is in Koh Phan Nag on 21st of June. If not does anyone know where its at that month?

Hello,

The full moon party is on the night of the full moon. You might also consider the pre full moon party the night before as well.

I see. But is there a party on every beach. Is there one main party in thailand that's the place to be. And also for planning purposes how do u know what date the full moon is going to be?

Check the lunar cycle. Dairies generally feature the full moon dates.

Unfortunately i can't remember the name of the beach that the party was on. All the local activity is geared round the party when it's on.

Have Fun!

Hi,

I went to the full moon party on Koh Phan Nga in Feb after completing the Bangkok to Singapore tour. I stayed on Koh Samui and there were loads of boats to take you from Samui to the island...there's also a ton of advertising, signs everywhere and everyone was talking about it. You could book a return boat trip from Samui to Koh Phan Nga for about 600baht (that's about $20 CAD). The boats start heading over around 7pm and return to samui around 2am at the earliest, you can stay as late as you like though. The party is amazing and there's really only one beach when you get to the island...just follow the music and the people, there are loads of people to show you where to go. As an alternative you can stay on Koh Phan Nga there isn't much else there but a few hotels, bungalows, etc. The party is the big attraction as far as I know. Have an awesome time!

hi,
i stayed on ko pha ngan as part of the bangkok-singapore trip last year and we were there when the full moon party was on, our tour leader sorted out a boat to take us round to the beach where it is, which i think is called hat rin.

the full moon party is definately on Had Rin beach. there are plenty of places to stay in had rin as long as you turn up a couple of days early. if you would prefer to stay away from the madness of had rin i definately recommend Had Son Bungalows, which is situated on the west of the island the staff are fantastic and the private beach is superb, only a fun 30mins taxi journey to the party.
