Doing the Bangkok to Singapore tour in July, and would like to know if it is really necessary to have so many injections. My doctor said that there were five that i have to have!! But I am petrified of needles and would be very grateful if someone would tell me that he is only joking and that I have to have no way near as many.
thanks Lisa

Re: injections
Hi Lisa,
Advice on medical issues and requirements for travel can only be given by a qualified medical practitioner. I don't think your doctor would 'joke' about having injections - there are some very serious illnesses that you can get in some places and you have to be sure to be covered for them when you are travelling.
If you are not sure of the advice given by your doctor, then seek a second opinion. If you are in London, you could also contact Nomad's Travel Medical Centres tel: 020 7833 4114 or 020 88897014. They have lots of experience on medical requirements for travelling all over the world.
