Hi there - just writing to see who else might be going on the Journey through Laos trip leaving on 22nd Nov? I am - and really looking forward to it.. arriving in Bangkok and staying in the meeting point hotel from 20th Nov.
Am also going on the Taste of Borneo from 20th Dec. I know that Sian is going (hi Sian) but it would be great to hear from anyone else who is going too.

Borneo looks great and I cant wait to go - I'm booked in for 7th February next year.
I'm quite into mountains at the moment (especially now after just arriving back from climbing Mt Sinai on the 'Beyond the pyramids' trip.) so that should be my highlight.
15 hour flight from London though!!! Any tips on the best place to get a cheap flight? Expedia?

I am doing the South East Asian Explorer which includes 'Journey through Laos' leaving 22nd November.
I have never done anything like this before so its really exciting.
I too am arriving in Bangkok on the 20th Nov so maybe we could meet up?

My flight leaves London at 21:20.
I cant believe how quick time is flying by. Regarding the passport pics, I was told by someone to take a few extras as officials sometimes ask people to fill in extra forms at the borders.
I will get my Laos and Cambodia visa there.

What you dont take in clothes, you can get in Thailand I'm sure (well, thats what I'm hoping). For shoes, I have an old pair of flip flops and a comfy pair or walking shoes/ trainers. I thought I could get anything else over there. I dont know what to expect so I thought that would be best.
Are you doing the 35 day trip or just the 'journey Through Laos'?
